I observe life as a sequence of arcs. The first is outward facing, where structure, discipline, and adaptation are learned. Jung saw this as building the social self. Near midlife, a quiet shift begins. Energy returns inward. Shadow appears not as an enemy but as unfinished material. Integration becomes the task. Depth replaces speed. Life becomes conscious.
