“The worst event that I thought could have happened to me … turned into a door that’s opened to everything that I want.”
Evan’s experience as a money manager couldn’t have prepared him for the shock of a massive lawsuit. When one of his clients gambled away $41 million dollars, Evan was subsequently sued for mismanagement – and his body quickly entered intofight or flight.
After hearing a podcast interview with Dr Joe, Evan knew the work was just what he needed to start feeling differently about his situation. He began a dedicated practice of meditating each morning for three months and then attended the Orlando Week Long Advanced Retreat.
Just a few days after the event, Evan received an email that he simply couldn’t believe. The lawsuit had been dismissed with prejudice – meaning it could never be reopened in a court of law – a rare outcome for lawsuits of that size. Evan realized that what was once an impossible situation was actually his greatest opportunity – brilliantly disguised.
