Fear grows around an outcome that has not happened, and attention becomes increasingly focused on evidence that seems to confirm the same prediction.
Widening the frame changes the way uncertainty is experienced. There are always multiple possible outcomes, including possibilities that cannot be seen from the current moment. Remembering this allows the mind to release its attachment to one imagined future and return to what is actually happening now.
This does not require forcing yourself into fake optimism or convincing yourself that everything will unfold exactly as desired. It means allowing reality to remain open while the outcome is still unknown. The future contains more possibilities than fear allows us to see, and when awareness expands beyond a single prediction, steadiness and perspective begin to return. The mind becomes available to possibilities that were always present, revealing how much of our experience is shaped by the future we repeatedly choose to imagine.
