Is it possible to create a mystical or transcendental experience – without taking psychedelics?
According to Dr Joe Dispenza’s latest peer-reviewed research paper, the answer is YES.
When researchers reviewed fMRI scans of participants who reported transcendental experiences during our Week Long Retreat, their brain activity looked strikingly similar to patterns seen in people taking psilocybin or other psychedelics – except these participants weren’t ingesting anything at all. Their bodies were naturally manufacturing a pharmacy of chemicals that created the lucid, expansive state often associated with mystical experiences.
The study also showed that when the brain becomes highly coherent and organized, it reflects a more unified level of consciousness – significantly increasing the likelihood of a spiritual or supernatural experience. And what’s most compelling: these changes emerged after just one week of meditation.
