The Alphahedron is a newly identified polyhedral structure discovered using the Orion Octave Cubes Omnidirectional Projection method, a geometric framework discovered that enables exploration of higher-order symmetry, curvature conservation, and non-uniform polyhedral families.
Unlike classical Platonic or Archimedean solids, the Alphahedron is not defined by uniform faces or vertices, but by a conserved angular structure across a fixed combinatorial topology. It is best understood not as a single rigid solid, but as a continuous one-parameter family of valid three-dimensional embeddings.
Within this family, curvature is free to migrate between edge classes while the total angular budget remains invariant. Two stable geometric regimes naturally emerge:
an Alpha regime, in which curvature concentrates along decagon-adjacent edges with a dominant dihedral near 137.037°, and a complementary 1 / Omega regime, in which curvature is broadly distributed and the mean dihedral approaches ~175°, producing a near-geodesic shell (137-73 and 175-57.1 is among only three double mirror numbers who palindrome is approximately equal to its reciprocal value. They also represent Alpha (137-73) and Omega (57.1-175)….
